Due to the ongoing social unrest, and as a consequence the inability of the Jamaican security forces to commit security for the cricketers, officials and fans for the One Day International (ODI) on Thursday June 3, 2010 and the Test Match the following week, the decision was taken today, Wednesday May 26, 2010 to move the cricket matches to another venue.

“We are very disappointed that the event had to be cancelled, as this represents a lost opportunity for the JCA to stage another international event and by extension to generate revenue for the growth and development of the game.  However, the safety of the players, officials in paramount, and so we regret the inconvenience caused to our loyal fans, sponsors, media and well wishers,” says JCA President, Paul Campbell.

The WICB Policy concerning refunds will apply.  Further information will be supplied as soon as the WICB has issued its statement.
